Kevilyn's Blizzard Blowing
Blizzard was placed in a home in Illinois when he was ten weeks. Kevilyn's stayed in touch with the owner and all appeared fine. The owner sent pictures and updates regularly. When Blizzard was 15 months, Kevilyn's received word that a couple in Iowa was selling a Komondor, thought to be one of Kevilyn's, on an internet site . After contacting the original owner we discovered our contract had been breached and Blizzard had been sold to the people in Iowa. Unprepared to deal with a Komondor, they placed an ad for him three days after he arrived. Kevilyn's immediately made arrangements to buy Blizzard back and traveled to bring him back home to South Carolina.
Kevilyn's rehomed him with Joyce and Harry Henderson of Rock Hill, SC.
Their previous Komondor (who was also re-homed with them by the breeder when the original home did not work out) had recently passed away.
It could not have been a better placement!!!! Blizzard has "blossomed" under their care and has healed both emotionally and physically at a great cost to them.
A special thanks to Joyce and Harry
for always being there when a
Komondor is in need!!!

Kevilyn's Crimson Tide
Kevilyn's Crimson Tide (Connor) was a puppy we placed as a Livestock Guardian on a farm in Alabama in 2006. He was to be trained to watch over a herd of show goats as the owner had lost several to predators, both four legged and two legged. The owner was diligent at first in keeping in contact with us but as time passed the phone calls became less frequent.
In April of 2009 I came across an ad for two Komondors on the internet. I knew instantly one was Connor. I contacted the owner and was advised they had sold their herd of goats and was selling the two Komondors as they were leaving in three weeks to travel across the US. Incidentally, the other Komondor was pregnant and due to whelp her puppies sometime during the next week!!!!!! I immediately contacted the breeder of the other Komondor and we made arrangements to meet the owners and buy back the two dogs. Within four days of stumbling across the ad both Komondors were back home with their breeders.
The dogs were in poor shape. Both were underweight and had never been seen by a veterinarian. The owner mentioned during the transfer they had not lost one goat since the dogs had been watching over them. It is sad to me that the owner did not feel compelled to pay back such dedication and loyalty with basic care.
Connor has received a clean bill of health from the veterinarian. Other than needing about 20 pounds, he is a wonderful and happy Komondor.

Below are examples of why ALL Kevilyn's puppies are placed with
a binding, non-negotiable contract and we do take our contract seriously!

Home Sweet Home
Did you know...
At the end of the Beatles' song "A Day in the Life", an ultrasonic whistle, audible only to dogs, was recorded by Paul McCartney for his Shetland sheepdog.
Did you know....
According to ancient Greek literature, when Odysseus arrived home after an absence of 20 years, disguised as a beggar, the only one to recognize him was his aged dog Argos, who wagged his tail at his master, and then died.
Did you know...
The common belief that dogs are color blind is false. Dogs can see color, but it is not as vivid a color scheme as we see. They distinguish between blue, yellow, and gray, but probably do not see red and green. This is much like our vision at twilight.
We are happy to report that Connor has found a home with friends
of ours outside of Charleston, SC. Thank you Eddie and Nancy !!!
Connor has thrived under Eddie and Nancy's care gaining 10 lbs.
during the first month and has passed all his health clearances.

Komondors and Children
Komondors love children. If raised with a child, they will always love children... A word of caution, however due to the size of a Komondor puppy close monitoring is advised when interacting with a toddler. A Komondor puppy is as immature as a toddler and can easily knock over a toddler during normal puppy play.
Komondors and Other Pets
I am often asked if Komondors get along with other pets....The answer is yes, provided they are raised with them. The Komondor will actually consider the other pet as a part of his flock.
Kevilyn's Komondors as
Beloved Family Members
Did you know...
An estimated 1 million dogs in the United States have been named the primary beneficiary in their owner's will.
In the following case, our contract was honored and the Komondor was returned to us. We are very appreciative!!
Who says a "showdog" can't work????
Cain, a puppy from our "A" litter was originally placed in a show home and was shown sporadically the first two years of his life. Unfortunately, as Cain matured and the novelty of owning a Komondor wore off, his owner found he just did not have the time to devote to Cain. Komondors are always a work in progress. Kevilyn's Komondorok rehomed him in an experienced working home where he has remained for the last four years and has exceeded all expectations.
We are very proud of Cain!
Cain watches over his farm in Blackville, SC.
We hear he is a wonderful guardian!!
His owners are on our "E" litter puppy list
